Classes

All classes we require your handgun to be brought into our shop for inspection prior to class day. All ammunition is to be left in the car until we are at a range. All fees are to be paid prior to class day to secure your spot. We do not allow walk ins the day of class.

Classes we offer are:

Level I : Concealed Weapons Certification Class

This class is for people 18 and older who want to learn the basics of handling a handgun and for those persons 21 or older who want to obtain their concealed weapons license.
WHEN: Every first Saturday of each month year round (more often if demand is there)
WHERE: Our shop for the classroom portion
TIME: 9:00am - 3:30pm We break at 1:00 and meet at the range at 2:00 for live fire training
NEED: Handgun, holster that fits your handgun, a belt to hold the holster in place and 50rnds of ammunition. Eye and ear protection are required.
COST: $50.00 per person or $45.00 per person if two or more sign up together.
Class size is limited to 20 and fill quickly so sign up early. If you do not have a handgun we can rent one to you with all of the other needs for $25.00

Level II : Advanced Handgun Training

This class is designed for people who want professional all day shooting instruction. You will be shooting from behind barricades and in different positions at your pace.
WHEN: Every 3rd Saturday of each month from April - October
WHERE: George Nourse Public Range in Nampa
TIME: 9:00am - 3:00pm with a 30min break to eat your BYO lunch.
NEED: Handgun, holster that fits your handgun, belt to hold up your holster, 300 rnds of ammunition and at least three mags/speed loaders.
COST: $100.00 per person or $90.00 per person if two or more sign up together
Class size is limited to 10.

Competition level classes

This class is for those people who would like to compete with a handgun or who may have just started competing who would like to have professional training.
WHEN: As time permits between April - October
TIME: 9:00am and requires a two day commitment Sat & Sun
WHERE: George Nourse Public Range on Saturday and on Sunday you will meet at a competition in the Treasure Valley.
NEED: Your own handgun and competion gear plus 300 rnds of ammunition
COST: $75.00 per person
Class size is limited to 5.

Individual training

Is just that. This is a private lesson with the instructor for whatever kind of instruction you require.
This can be from how to clean and operate your handgun, Level I training all the way down the list.
The cost for this training is $25.00 per hour.

Teen training

This class was designed with the child in mind. For ages 10-17 as this seems to be the age group that has been left out when handgun safety for children was first brought out to the public. This class requires your child to be responsible and mature for this kind of training.
WHEN: As time can be arranged between April - October
WHERE: At our shop
TIME: 9:00am - 1:00pm We break at 11:00 from the shop and meet at the range by 11:30
NEED: Handgun, hip holster that fits the handgun, a belt to hold up the holster and 50rnds of ammunition. Eye and ear protection are required.
COST: $40.00 per child or $35.00 per child if two or more sign up together. If you do not have a handgun we can rent you one with all of the other needs for $25.00.
Class size is limited to 10 children. At least one parent or legal guardian is required to accompany there child in class.
